A small blizzard forms around Raphael's fists as he punches his opponent. Where his fists make contact, ice forms and spreads, freezing his opponent.

Lovely Kiss
A clear chemical forms on Raphael's lips and he kisses his opponent (location irrelevant), the chemical sinking quickly into the skin and putting his opponent to sleep.

Wake-Up Slap

Personality:

An extremely responsible person, Raphael was more or less the head of the house when his brother was still around. Now, he's on his own and is pretty happy that way, since he doesn't have to get frustrated by Gabriel's wandering habits anymore. He's a fairly relaxed and casual person, more open to flirting around and just enjoying life as it comes than before. In his downtime, he's often composing songs and melodies on one of his various instruments. He's quite a mother hen though, and more than a little bit of a worrywart, so befriending him is one way to make sure someone's going to turn up with ten blankets and a pot of soup when you get sick.

Blunt and honest to a fault, Raphael dislikes beating around the bush and adapts quickly to most situations, leaving it difficult to throw him off-track. It's hard to fluster him as well, though things like complimenting his music and fretting over him tends to leave him speechless. When it comes to other people, he's surprisingly good at reading them, able to gauge where their limits are as well as their personality simply by watching.

A hidden side of him is the fact that Raphael actually loves receiving things, be it attention or gifts. He's a bit of a diva that way, though he doesn't like admitting it. He likes feeling special but gets flustered when treated as such because he's just not used to it.

Like most of his family, Raphael can get pretty restless at times and, now that he doesn't have the shop to take care of anymore, he's taken to walking around and playing music in different places, like the park and at diners. He's pretty adventurous in just about anything and always ready to try something new.

History:

Raphael grew up in Lotus Town. His maternal grandparents had moved there upon marrying, and his father's bloodline was among the first to have ever made a home in the place. His parents were a flighty duo, always eager to see new sights, always eager to experience the unexperienced... Adventurous folk, really. Gabriel seemed to inherit this trait to a certain degree, but Raphael was always more keen on staying home for the most part. It may have had something to do with wanting to be there to greet his family whenever they returned from Arceus-knew-where, since he had wandered off on his own once or twice when no one was looking.

As they grew up, he and Gabriel were close. Raphael took a shine to music when he was young and his parents encouraged him to pursue his interests, allowing him to take music lessons from a nearby centre. While Gabriel took to candle-making, Raphael focused on his music. When his parents helped them open up the candle shop, Raphael took charge, mostly because Gabriel couldn't be bothered to manage it himself and because his parents were rarely home anyway. 

One day, his parents came home with (in their opinion) fantastic news. They'd won two tickets for an all-expenses paid trip around the world. Raphael, ever the voice of reason, voiced his doubts over such a dubious prize, but their parents were adamant. A month later, they were off. How long they would be gone for, neither of the brothers knew. Two years, their parents had told them. Maybe longer. 

About three months later, their parents invited them over to Kanto for a while, and they left, returning some time later. Gabriel decided to leave again upon finding out his crush had left Lotus Town, an impulsive decision on his part but one he was oddly determined to go through with. Raphael didn't really try to stop him, though he did make sure Gabriel actually packed for the trip instead of just waltzing out of the house as he was.

He loves shopping, but he tends not to let himself give into temptation.
He's started to pick up dancing as a way to pass the time.
He doesn't get embarrassed very easily and can be quite intimate if he feels like it.
He's naturally pretty damn flexible.
He plays at diners and just about anywhere that will pay him.
He hates insects and anything slimy. And by that, it means that he'll probably scream and run the hell away.
His hair is naturally curly but he straightens it, thinking it makes him look more mature.
