Natural Weapons:
Genevieve's only form of offense and defense is the large arm that grows out the back of her head.

Trained Weapons:
None

Weakness:
:bulletwhite: In her true form, removing her oxygen mask for more than thirty minutes is fatal. She will suffocate and die.
:bulletwhite: In her human form, removing the face mask without her permission is likely to send her into a panic attack and she will desperately try to get it back.
:bulletwhite: Genevieve is by no means a fighter. She is largely inexperienced and has no wish to partake in fighting in the first place. As such, despite her abilities, she is untrained and relatively easy to take down for anyone with any skill.

Major Skills:
:bulletblack: Strength: For such a small girl, she can pack one hell of a punch if she wants to. In her true form, punches tend to hurt a lot more, seeing as how they're delivered by the huge arm growing out her head. Her kicks on the other hand.... are pathetic at best.
:bulletblack: Agility: Making full use of her slight build, Genevieve relies mostly on her ability to duck than her ability to block.
:bulletblack: Telepathy: A skill that is almost impossible to use for harm. Genevieve can pass on messages to other people, though only if she likes the person, and she cannot receive any thoughts in return. Reading minds is impossible.

Minor Skills:
:bulletpink: Model: She's a natural when it comes to acting like a model, happy to dress up and walk around like she's on the catwalk. She's not (very) vain, but she does enjoy attention.
:bulletpink: Drawing: She likes doodling in her notebook. Her skills are decent for the most part as she doesn't have any serious interest in improving.

Personality:
:bulletpurple: Optimistic: She prefers to look at things with a positive mindset.
:bulletpurple: Gullible: She tends to believe just about anything you tell her. Should she realize you're lying to her, forgiveness does not come easily.
:bulletpurple: Excited: Her behaviour can be compared to that of a puppy. She seems to always be in motion, bouncing up and down on the balls of her feet if she has to stand still.
:bulletpurple: Curious: She loves learning new things, though she isn't too fond of reading on her own. She much prefers someone reading to her.
:bulletpurple: A little vain: Though it's hard to tell, she loves compliments and, due to being showered with them before entering the school, it's gone to her head a little.
:bulletpurple: Slow: In truth, she isn't slow. However, her first language is German and, English second. Less practiced in the latter, she is slow to respond, having to carefully translate the words.
:bulletpurple: Single-minded: When something catches her interest, it's hard for her to focus on anything else.
:bulletpurple: Eccentric: She takes interest in things that seem out of place, sometimes. For example, she loves toads.

Likes:
:bulletblue: Voices: Being a mute, she takes pleasure in listening to the voice of others.
:bulletblue: Solid food: As her true forms possesses no mouth, having one now means she can eat solid food. She seems to take great pleasure in doing so, and is partial to baked treats. Despite that, she eats little, though she makes up for it by drinking a lot of water, which is her true main sustenance.
:bulletblue: Dressing up: The main reason her kind is ever bought is to be dress-up dolls for their owners. Genevieve honestly doesn't mind at all. She loves to try on new clothes and play around with fashion.
:bulletblue: Compliments: Nothing makes her day quite like being told that she looks nice.
:bulletblue: Toads: There seems to be nothing cuter to her than a big, fat toad.

Dislikes:
:bulletgreen: Her mask being removed: Be it human or true form, she tends to panic if her mask is taken off without her permission.
:bulletgreen: Werecreatures: She has a slight distrust towards werecreatures, after being teased relentlessly by a werewolf. It's not very hard to change her mind though.
:bulletgreen: Lemons: She made the mistake of trying raw lemon. Now, she avoids it where she can.

History:
Genevieve was bought at the age of five from her breeder, by a kindly old man whose purpose was for company. He, Philipp Kirsch, was the only one in the small house in Essen, Germany, they lived in and Genevieve quickly found herself attached to him. Though she could not communicate mentally with him, he treated her more like a daughter than a pet, teaching her how to read and, later on, write when her arm grew out (this was slightly more difficult, what with her tendency to accidentally break the pencils). In return, Genevieve listened to him, brought him comfort when he needed it, and did her best to keep him happy.

It was never meant to last. Philipp was old, frail. He died when Genevieve was fifteen. She had never seen death before, but knew of it because her owner had told her about it, explained that he was nearing his end and that he would have no choice but to leave her alone. On the night of his death, Genevieve had been by his side as usual, curled up against him. She woke up when he gave a soft sigh, whispering a quiet apology to her. Terrified, she tried to reach out to him with her mind, tried to at least let him hear the voice she knew she had but could never let anyone hear. He passed on before she could find out whether he heard her.

The next day, Genevieve alerted one Philipp's neighbours of his death, ringing the doorbell until it was answered and silently encouraging the young woman who answered to follow her. Everything after that was a blur. People came and went, authorities, distant relatives, neighbours, friends... Their faces blended into one another. Throughout this, Genevieve stayed where she wanted to be eternally, right by her owner's side. She tried to follow him when his body was taken away for preparations for the funeral, but she was rejected and ended up in the care of the same neighbour she had alerted.

The funeral was a small one. Her heart was broken and Genevieve broke down crying, screaming silently as the coffin was lowered into the ground. She remained by the freshly-covered grave until day turned into night. Then, she stood, bowed once to the grave, and turned away. Though she looked back multiple times, she forced herself to return to the empty house waiting for her.

Every day for the next week, Genevieve and her ex-owner's neighbour, whom kept her company when she needed it, visited the grave. Each time, the Mouthless placed a single yellow flower at the foot of the headstone. When the will was read, it was stated that Genevieve was to be owned by no other, that she should be allowed to live on her own, as any other human would. Not knowing where to even begin, Genevieve remained in the same house she had lived in for the majority of her life.

On the day of Philipp's birthday, not even a full year passed since his death, she had been sitting at his grave, alone, when a stranger came by. A teenage boy with dirty, messy red hair, multiple piercings and acne stopped nearby. He said nothing at first, but something about him set her on edge. After five minutes, he turned and left, muttering something to himself. The same thing happened the next day, and the next, until a week and a half had passed. On the tenth day, the boy was joined by a middle-aged man wearing a formal shirt, a gray vest, black pants, leather shoes, and white gloves. Genevieve did not run when the man approached her, more curious than wary, more so when he smiled and asked her:
"Have you a home, child?" A kind voice, he had. The young Mouthless hesitated before nodding her head.
"Do you want to stay there?" A strange question. Why wouldn't she? The area had been her home for years, so many years... How could she leave? Why would she....

Genevieve shook her head. Why shouldn't she leave? She was technically free. Her home was nothing without the old man that would smile so gently and stroke her hair in the evenings after dinner.
The strange man nodded again, pulling out a crisp white card with fine black lettering on one side and holding it out to her.
"I'll give you time to think carefully," he said, before standing and walking away. The red-haired boy followed after him, grinning a lopsided grin at Genevieve before they turned a corner and were out of sight.
Three days later, Genevieve met the man once more in front of the grave.
"Have you decided?" he asked, to which she nodded.

That very day, Genevieve left the house that had been her home for ten long, beautiful, years.

She was taken to a large mansion in Berlin, where she met creatures she had thought unreal. Small dragons, vampires, demons, werecreatures, forest spirits.... All of them lived in that one mansion. Some left and never came back, others returned time and time again, while a number lived there permanently. The rooms were small but comfortable, tailored to suit the needs of each occupant. The boy who had found her, she discovered, was a werewolf named Jael Kleyn. More skin and bones than flesh, Genevieve often wondered whether he really was what he said he was but never asked, having taken a dislike to him the moment he pet her on the head and called her a 'forgotten little freak like the rest of us'.

The man who had taken her in, a rich bachelor called Dietrich Adler, knew only the basics of the handling of the Mouthless species. He researched and, what he could not find out, Genevieve helped him. When she showed him a copy Philipp's will, given to her to make it clear that she was to be no one's pet, Dietrich only gave one of those sad little smiles (he always looked sad, she noticed. Even when he said he was happy, there seemed to be a lingering sorrow in his eyes) and nodded his head.
"Then be a guest here," he said. "Be a guest and, if you ever feel like it, you may leave. My doors will always be open, should you wish to return."

With that settled, Genevieve spent two years in that mansion. She learned of different creatures and, though she continued to dislike him, grew a slight attachment to Jael, simply because he took great pleasure in following her around, whether in the mansion or out, and being a general pest. In those years, the young Mouthless developed the wish to live on her own, to be independent. At the end of that time, Dietrich approached and, much to her surprise, held out a letter to her.
"It's an invitation," he explained gently as she accepted the envelope. "For a school. For those who want to be human."
It took a while for Genevieve to understand, even longer to decipher the words. English was hard.... When she did though, she stared hard at the man who had sheltered her for the past couple of years. He was smiling the same, sad little smile. Maybe it was just her but, for the briefest of moments, she could have sworn there was a flicker of true joy in those light green, gold-flecked eyes.

Unable to say a word, Genevieve simply nodded mutely.

Roleplay:
:bulletyellow: Sample (Script):
Gen: *weird... she has hands.... coming out of her shoulders.... weird. The girl looks at her hands curiously, turning them over and looking at the palms, flexing them repeatedly. Weird. It's like her own arm, her actual one, but smaller... and harder to use because she's used to only having one arm, not two....* ...... *her only complaint though, is that she still lacks a voice. The mouth, with thin pale lips that she really is not used to having, hidden behind the cloth face mask she wears is silent.* ......... *she has no idea where she's going in this huge building... especially because she isn't really even looking. She's too busy being utterly fascinated by her hands.*

:bulletyellow: Sample (Paragraph):
Gen: She really was lost, wasn't she? Despite having gotten a tour of the place from Aldrich, she had no idea where she was. Genevieve would've sighed if she had known how. As it was, she simply continued along the corridor, boots making a light tapping sound with each step she took. Her hands swung slightly by her side and she suddenly stopped, looking down at them. Though she liked having two hands, they seemed.... strange. Unnatural. Her face felt the same way. Her mask pressed uncomfortably against the mass of tissue that formed her nose. Reaching up with her too-small hand, she touched her choker and concentrated, trying to wish her glamor off.

When she opened her eyes again, she realized, with no small amount of giddy elation at her success, that she had managed to deactivate the glamor. The Mouthless took a deep breath of oxygen, a soft sighing sound accompanying the action, and continued to walk, feeling more at home with the gigantic arm growing out the back of her head, the same arm that gripped the strap of her slingbag to stop it from sliding off her shoulder. Now... Where on earth was she, really?

:bulletyellow: Schedule:
Online most days, usually 5PM on weekdays until around 11PM to 12AM. On weekends, online from whatever time I wake up (can be anywhere between 9AM to 11AM) until around 11PM to 2AM. Timezone is GMT+8. I almost never go to the chatroom. If you want to rp, feel free to shoot me a Note or just leave a comment. If you send a Note, just tell me who you would rather roleplay with (I have more than one character in this group after all) and, if you leave a comment, do so on the application of the character you want to roleplay with. Generally, I prefer Paragraph Roleplay, but I don't mind Script either.

Trivia:
:bulletorange: Genevieve has a notebook she uses to write and communicate with people, as well as a set of neatly-printed cards with the basic introductions. She's also trying (and half-failing) to learn sign language.
:bulletorange: Her choker is a gift from Philipp and she loves it dearly.
:bulletorange: Right-handed
